The NdFeB Donut Magnet offers a unique combination of extreme magnetic strength and mechanical versatility. The hollow “donut” center is not just a weight-saving feature; it is a functional design element that allows for the concentration of flux lines toward the inner diameter. This makes the NdFeB donut an exceptional choice for magnetic couplings and assemblies where a shaft must be held or rotated by magnetic forces without direct physical contact.
Using the highest-purity rare earth raw materials, BMAG donut magnets achieve a high intrinsic coercivity. This means they are highly resistant to being “knocked out” of their magnetic state by external electrical fields or other nearby magnets. The donut geometry is processed through high-pressure molding to ensure that the density is consistent from the inner rim to the outer edge. This prevents “soft spots” in the magnetic field. Each magnet is coated with a multi-stage Ni-Cu-Ni plating process, which not only protects against corrosion but also adds a layer of structural reinforcement to the magnet’s exterior.
