Magnet Introduction
NdFeB Segment Magnets are specialized tile-shaped components designed for multipole magnetization configurations. In modern motor design, increasing the number of poles can increase torque and provide smoother rotation at lower speeds. These segments facilitate the construction of 4-pole, 8-pole, or even higher pole-count rotors by simply alternating the polarity (North/South) of adjacent segments during assembly.
These segments feature excellent magnetic orientation accuracy. Misaligned orientation can lead to uneven motor performance, so we ensure the magnetic axis is perfectly perpendicular to the chord or aligned radially, depending on specification. The segments are available in varying arc degrees (e.g., 30°, 45°, 60°) to complete a full 360° ring. They are also optimized to minimize eddy current losses, which can heat up the magnet and degrade performance in high-frequency applications.
