Magnet Introduction

The Neodymium Segment Magnet is a versatile building block for magnetic assemblies. Whether used in a motor, a magnetic bearing, or a coupling, these segments allow for the assembly of high-strength magnetic fields in geometries that would be impossible to sinter as a single piece. They offer the raw power of Neodymium in a form factor that is easy to handle, position, and bond during the manufacturing assembly process.

We offer these segments with various magnetization options, including diametric and radial orientation (via approximation). The segments are coated to prevent corrosion, with options ranging from standard Ni-Cu-Ni to specialized Epoxy or Phosphating for better glue adhesion. High crush strength and resistance to chipping ensure that the segments remain intact during the high-pressure interference fits or gluing processes often used in rotor assembly. They provide a cost-effective route to high-performance magnetic circuits.
