Magnet Introduction

For bespoke engineering challenges, BMAG Neodymium Rare Earth Segment Magnets provide the ultimate in customization and magnetic performance. These segments are often used in “surface-mounted permanent magnet” (SMPM) machines where the magnets are adhered to the rotor surface. They allow for the creation of complex magnetic field distributions that can be tuned to specific motor requirements, such as maximizing back-EMF or minimizing cogging torque.

These segments are produced with a focus on material purity and grain boundary optimization. By refining the microstructure of the rare earth alloy, we enhance the magnet’s ability to resist demagnetization at high temperatures. Available in a variety of dimensions and plating options, these segments can be assembled into rings of virtually any diameter, providing a scalable solution for everything from small servo motors to large industrial wind turbine generators.
