Magnet Introduction

Rubber Coated Arc Magnets are designed to provide superior grip and surface protection. Encased in a layer of durable Santoprene or synthetic rubber, these magnets offer a high-friction surface that standard metallic platings cannot match. This coating is specifically engineered for holding applications where preventing slippage and surface damage is paramount.

The rubber jacket serves two critical functions: Shear Force Improvement and Scratch Protection. While a smooth nickel magnet might slide down a vertical steel surface, the rubber coating creates friction, significantly increasing the vertical holding capacity (shear force). Simultaneously, the soft rubber acts as a cushion, ensuring the magnet does not scratch or mar delicate painted surfaces, such as vehicle bodies or whiteboards. It also offers excellent waterproofing for outdoor use.
