Magnet Introduction
Engineered for harsh and humid environments, BMAG Epoxy Coated Arc Magnets offer one of the highest levels of corrosion resistance available for neodymium magnets. The magnet is enveloped in a durable black epoxy resin layer, which provides a superior barrier against salt spray, moisture, and even weak acids. This coating is an excellent alternative to metallic plating when the magnet faces exposure to outdoor elements or marine conditions.
The standout feature of the epoxy coating is its salt spray test performance, often exceeding hundreds of hBMAGs where metallic coatings might fail. Additionally, the epoxy surface provides excellent adhesion properties; it bonds exceptionally well with various industrial glues and potting compounds, reducing the risk of magnet slippage inside high-speed motor assemblies. It is also electrically insulating, which can help reduce eddy current losses in certain motor designs.
